Germany stands by Syria as it seeks to rebuild, Foreign Minister Johan Wadephul said on Monday as Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa's visits Berlin. At a German-Syrian economic forum held at the Foreign Office, Wadephul said he saw an important role for Germany in Syria's reconstruction, which he argued can only succeed with international aid.
